Ahh the Perhentians, what to say about the perhentians? Despite me selling out my soul to the scuba devil in order to claw my way out of debt, and spending most of my time knee-deep in confined water, I walked away with some great experiences and lots of friends spread across the globe from my time here. While the perhentians was a significant downgrade in diving quality from my previous island homes, it certainly can surprise! I'll certainly never forget my whale shark experience on T3, and the image of this friendly giant chasing a couple of panicked novice divers in circles on the surface will forever be burned into my mind. Even now it brings a smile to my face. Mostly I'll remember the friendly faces I worked with here, My love Elitza, Fez, Julia, Charlotte, Ali, and all the crew from Universal Diver on Besar are like family to me now, and like family sometimes I ignore phone calls from them.
